Christmas Letter 2004

Dear Friends & Family

It has been another wonderful year, and as always it is hard to believe
the holidays are here.  In an effort to start a family tradition we recently
went on our first annual Christmas tree expedition.  Andrew was a great
help in selecting the perfect Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

As you can imagine our year has been filled with Andrew’s adventures.
These normally center on trucks, trains or mud.  Fortunately, he has
fallen in love with his yellow rain boots (because they have trucks on
them) so we are always prepared for where his 2 year old curiosity may
lead us.   We have spent many afternoons at the train station, and we
always take the long way home so we can drive by the fire trucks’
house.  It will be a chilly winter for me, because the cold wet weather
provides more opportunities to go outside to dig and get dirty.  Yes,
Andrew is all boy, and loves all things that go fast, crash, boom, and get
covered in mud.

The excitement may double next year because we want to adopt
another little boy.  This time we hope to adopt from Russia.  We got a
great surprise in November when we had 4 days to prepare for a trip to
Moscow to meet the boy we hope to adopt - Adam Thomas Overman.
Unfortunately, as I write this, all adoptions from Russia have been put on
hold.  We hope and pray this changes quickly, so we can become a
family of 4 very soon.

In addition to our quick trip to Moscow, we were able to spend some
time on the beaches of Florida and Costa Rica.   We also spent a week in
Tennessee exploring the very ‘interesting’ town of Gatlinburg.  We were
lucky to have many visits from Nana, Blainey, and the Papas, who have
done a wonderful job of spoiling Andrew.

As for us, Meric is enjoying his work at Labware, and I love spending my
days with our little boy. Our holidays will be spent in Wilmington with
great anticipation for what Santa may bring.  We try to keep our website
updated with all our adventures, so be sure to read more at www.
theovermans.com.

Happy Holidays!    Kathy, Meric & Andrew
