Dad's Day and Other Family Fun - June 2005
It was great fun to celebrate Daddy's day with 2 little boys at home. We continue to feel so blessed to have 2 wonderful kiddos (it is easy for me to write this, since they are both sleeping soundly). We spent Father's Day at the helicopter museum, thinking the little boys would love it. This was not the case. The helicopters were way too noisy for Andrew, so we spent the first hour getting used to the noise. Fortunately, there was a big pile of rocks for Andrew to play with, so in the end we all had fun. At the end of June we went on a camping adventure in Wisconsin. Meric's family had a reunion at a few cabins several hours outside Minneapolis. This was our first trip with 2 kids. We are now not sure if we will ever travel with our children again - it is hard work! Despite all the effort, the time in Wisconsin was wonderful, and Andrew was definitely in heaven. All the woods, mud, rocks, and water he could play with... Adam stayed a little closer to Mommy, but still had fun with all his girl cousins who loved to baby-sit. This was great because it meant Mommy got a few breaks. It was a fun time, and a treat to see family.
Dad's day at the helicopter museum. Andrew was dressed as a fireman, just in case there were any helicopter fires. (Yes, he had fleece outfit on in the middle of June!)
