What Drew is Doing - November 2004
Andrew learned the meaning of packages in early November and ever since then he has checked the mail every day to see if there are any more packages for Andrew. Blainey and Papa spoiled him with a new wardrobe of truck shirts. Andrew now has to choose between wearing a dump truck shirt or a tractor shirt - it is not always and easy choice for a 2 year old.
November was uneventful for the first few weeks - apart from the package filled with truck shirts. Then around the middle of the month, we got a special visit from Blainey and Papa. They came to stay with Andrew while Mommy and Daddy went to meet Andrew's little brother in Moscow. Saying goodbye was most difficult for Mommy. Saying goodbye was made easy for Andrew because it meant he got to go to the airport. He does not understand why we don't go visit the airplanes every day.
The Greatest Adventure. Blainey took Andrew to the Fire Trucks' House to meet the trucks and the firemen. They gave him a fireman's hat. It was a dream come true for Andrew.
Fortunately, Blainey and Papa had warm weather, which, once again, provided many opportunities to dig and play outside with Duchess.
Papa and Andrew became good buddies, and by the end of the week they were sharing a bed.
After the big adventure with Blainey & Papa, it was back to normal - enjoying as much time as possible outside.
Thanksgiving was spent harassing the guinea pig while visiting Meric's brother, parents and grandmother in DC.
