Back in Russia with Adam

It is great to be back in Moscow, and it looks exactly as you would expect - covered in snow.  It is a good thing we carried on our hats and gloves
because we have no luggage.  We were late leaving Philadelphia so we were the last 2 people to board the flight from JFK to Moscow at 5:30 for a 5:35
departure.  When we arrived, we learned that Moscow is a booming conference center in February (who would have guessed) and there are no hotel
rooms to be had.  Fortunately, we have a room for 2 nights, but come Monday we may be on the street.  Let's just hope our luggage comes by then
because we may need the extra clothes.  In the end we made it safely, and we got to see our boy, and that is all that matters.

Straight from the airport we went to the Baby Hospital.  In many ways our return seemed to have happened quickly even though we have been waiting
for months.  Now that we are here, and Adam is about to be our son it is hard to believe our second adoption will soon be complete.  Notice I didn't say
our last - because we see the kids in the Baby Hospital and think what is one more?

However, one more is enough for now.  When we walked in, Adam was standing up in his crib looking through the window at the girl in the next room.
He is doing great, but unfortunately, the photos will not show that.  We ran out of film and batteries within the first 10 minutes with Adam, and he was a
little suspicious of us at first.  We are hope to find batteries in the morning, so we can capture his great smile tomorrow.

After Adam's initial inspection of us, he quickly decided that playing with our power cords and ziploc bags was kind of fun (as all our toys are some where
between Moscow and New York).  He was full of giggles, and loved being tickled and flying like an airplane.  He seems to have gotten taller over the past
few months, but not much heavier.  His hair is much lighter then we remember and very curly, and he has a few new teeth. He is sitting up and starting
to crawl.  Adam seems eager to explore, and we can't wait to see him exploring with his big brother - who we heard is doing great at home with his
Blainey. We can't believe we thought about bringing Andrew - it would have been really rough on everyone, and especially him.

We will be a family soon enough.  We are tentatively scheduled to go to court on Monday morning, and we can think of no greater Valentine's gift than
getting to officially be Adam's parents.  If all goes well Adam will be able to spend Monday night with us wherever we will be sleeping.  Fortunately, our
luggage just arrived so we will be prepared to bundle up should we be sleeping on the street.

We are off to the Baby Hospital first thing Sunday morning, and then we are going shopping.  We can't thank everyone at Labware enough for their
generous donations.  What the Baby Hospital needs most are heaters and diapers.  This tells you a little about how bad things are - they need the basics
such as warm air.  Everyone at the Baby Hospital has been so appreciative, especially since so few people are able to adopt right now.  With so few
adoptions going on, there are very few things brought over for the children that remain behind.  We feel so lucky to have the support of everyone,
especially all the Labware gifts.  Thank you.
Adam's inspection of Mom.  We are
waiting on the verdict.
A happy Mom and Dad.  A not so sure little boy.
The inspection continues, and finally the wave.
