Update on March 13th
This morning we got confirmation that we will go to court on Friday morning at 10:00 AM.
Fortunately, our judge has been doing adoption proceedings since the beginning - in other words, this
is just a routine for him. After court we will have to sign some final documents and r in the
afternoon we will pick Andrew up for good. Everything should be complete by 5:00pm Kaz time.
The coordinator helped us talk with his current caregivers and they confirmed everythinh we have
seen over the past few weeks. He is serious, very mobile, and like to play with toys. When he gets
fussy he likes to be held - this is exactly what we have found. They try to start them on cups very
early here and He really doesn't like it, in fact he pushes the cup away when they try to give it to
hom. Yeah - he prefers the bottle. This is good news for us as we want him to enjoy the comfort of
the bottle for a bit longer.
Something else wonderful happened yesterday - Andrew went to get his passport pictures made, and
fortunately he was in the beautiful orange jacket seen below. We will forever have the memory of
the orange - what more could Mom want?
The next time we update the site, we will be a family for good and forever - we could not think of a
greater blessing. Needless to say the updates may slow down a bit as we adjust to being parents for
real.
